1. Build a VFD kit recommendation
The VFD Kit Selector asks for three inputs:
- VFD horsepower
- Cable distance in feet
- Conductors per phase
Based on those values, the app returns a recommended kit and shows the common-mode chokes, differential-mode chokes, and any additional components included for that configuration.
This makes the selector useful when preparing an application review or organizing information for a quotation. The recommendation should still be considered alongside the complete installation, especially when the system has unusual operating conditions or information is missing.
2. Select a core configuration for a DC drive
DC drive applications have their own path. The DC Drive Core Selector uses:
- DC drive horsepower
- Cable distance in feet
- Conductors per polarity
The result identifies the common-mode and differential-mode core configuration associated with the entered values. Keeping this workflow separate makes it clear which conductor information the user needs to collect before starting.
3. Evaluate a bearing-current measurement
The Bearing Current Calculator addresses a different question. Users enter the drive-end bearing size, opposite-drive-end bearing size, and measured peak current in amps from a Rogowski-coil reading.
The calculator compares the entered measurement with the listed maximum allowable bearing current and returns a PASS or FAIL result. The result can also be sent through the device’s email app, making it easier to document or share the calculation.
The app does not take the current measurement, and a PASS or FAIL result is not a certification of the entire motor system. Accurate inputs and measurement context still matter.
